For as long as I can remember I’ve loved flowers & gardens…Dad growing the most amazing sweet peas & peonies and Nan caring for her beloved roses, which I made ‘perfume’ from!
My weekend job while I was an art student was in a garden centre and I quickly realised that floristry was far more of a passion to me than graphic design – so I left university to learn on the job in a local florist shop.
Soon after came the amazing opportunity to become an exhibition florist for the NEC Group, based at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham producing designs for many large scale corporate events, which was such a great learning experience.
Although born a city girl, I’ve always been a country girl at heart, so when my daughter was born a lifestyle change beckoned… and we found ourselves on the wonderful Isle of Wight! I’m now a proud mum to a grown up daughter and love island life with our canine fur babies Ziggy & Pablo, especially when it involves tea & cake!
I’m inspired by colours & textures and love to be out in the beauty of nature. If you’d like to talk flowers over a lovely cup of Yorkshire, please do get in touch …

Check out the handy FAQs below as these may answer some of your questions…
How far in advance should we book our wedding florist?
The sooner you can book your wedding florist the better, although it is possible to arrange wedding flowers at shorter notice if we have no previous bookings. You don’t need to have every detail organised yet, it’s more important that you get the date booked in our diary first. We typically take bookings up to 18 months in advance, by the payment of a £100 non refundable deposit.
What information will my florist need at our initial consultation?
Please don’t worry if you don’t know the names of hundreds of flower varieties… that’s what we’re here for! Ideally, you’ll have your venue, date & an overall style in mind. What would you like to achieve? Simple, rustic, elegant? Pinterest boards are fantastic for inspiration, but let’s create something unique for you, not an exact replica of someone else’s day.
Rough numbers of guests/ tables etc help, with exact numbers only needed closer to the big day. You’re welcome to come along to your consultation with lots of ideas & images of your own already… we’re here to help as much or as little as you need, including recommendations on trusted fellow wedding professionals & venues.
We'd like to have big flower displays, but we're also on a budget. What can we do?
A good suggestion is to be open about your budget with your florist. We both want you to have the best possible wedding flowers & by giving us a rough figure, we can get creative which is one of the best parts of our job! For example, seasonal flowers & foliage are great both on the pocket & the environment.
When will our flowers be delivered or set up?
This will rest on a number of different factors, so it’s tricky to give an definitive answer. It will mainly depend on your chosen venue, for example a hotel may need to offer breakfast/ lunch service to its other guests, limiting our set up time, whereas a marquee or private home may be available for dressing a couple of days before your big day.
We would aim to have the majority of your displays set up by the day before, leaving just your items that don’t have a water supply to be delivered on the day itself.
Bridal party flowers such as your bouquets, buttonholes & corsages are delivered as close to the ceremony time as possible, usually around a couple of hours before. This gives your photographer enough time to capture any images of you with your bouquet as you’re getting ready to leave for the ceremony , without leaving your flowers out of water for too long. Hair and cake flowers will be delivered to suit yours, your hairdressers & your cake makers timings.
